Maintenance Method of LED Downlight

LED downlight is a kind of lighting fixture embedded in the ceiling. Compared with the traditional downlight, it has the advantages of energy saving, low carbon, long life, good color rendering, and fast response.

1. After you buy back the lamps, you should not be busy installing them. You should see clearly the marks on the lamps and read the installation and operation instructions, and then install and use the lamps according to the instructions, otherwise, there may be a danger.

2. During cleaning and maintenance, attention shall be paid not to changing the structure of lamps and components of lamps. After cleaning and maintenance, lamps shall be installed as they are and no missing or wrong parts shall be installed.

3. The light tubes in the room should be wiped with a dry cloth frequently, and attention should be paid to prevent moisture intrusion, avoid corrosion damage or electric leakage and short circuit after a long time; Lamps installed in toilets and bathrooms must be equipped with moisture-proof lampshades, otherwise, the service life will be greatly shortened; The lamps installed in the kitchen should pay special attention to prevent oil smoke, because the accumulation of oil dirt will affect the illumination of the lamp; Light colored lampshade has good light transmittance, but it is easy to stick dust, so you should wipe it frequently to avoid affecting the light penetration; If the lamp is non-metallic, it can be wiped with a damp cloth to avoid dust accumulation and hinder the lighting effect.

4. Minimize the number of switches. The principle of lamp switch is mainly to accelerate sublimation by rapidly increasing filament temperature. Frequent switching and starting will make the filament hot many times. More times will naturally shorten the service life of the filament, so do not switch the lamp too frequently.

5. In case of any problem, replace the light source parameters provided according to the sign and replace the aging light source promptly. When replacing the light source, pay attention to the light source type, interface type, power, color temperature, and other key items on the lamp label. In particular, do not install the light source type by mistake, otherwise, it is very easy to cause safety accidents such as explosion (such as connecting the low-voltage light source to the high-voltage lamp) or directly damaging the light source and electrical appliances. At the same time, when replacing the light source, please pay attention to powering off the lamp first, and then replace the light source of the same model and power it after the light source cools down. Generally, the manufacturer of the lamp will have an obvious maximum limit mark for the light source in the lamp manual. Please select the light source that is less than or equal to the maximum limit.

6. Clean the dust on the lamp surface regularly. Statistics show that if the lamps accumulate too much dust, the average annual illumination will be reduced by about 30%. Therefore, dust removal can not only increase the service life of lamps but also make the illumination of lamps higher.
