Installation Method of Embedded Down Lamp

Downlights are generally used as auxiliary lights in household lighting, usually, in living rooms, bedrooms, corridors, hallways, etc. The downlight is small in shape and can be directly embedded in the ceiling. It is a kind of concealed lamp and won't occupy too much space.

The installation method of embedded downlight can be divided into the following steps

1. Mark and drill holes on the ceiling according to the size and installation position of the downlight;

2. Connect the reserved power cord in the ceiling with the downlight;

3. Adjust the butterfly nut of the downlight fixed spring, so that the height of the spring is the same as the thickness of the ceiling;

4. Push the downlight into the ceiling opening.

Precautions for installation of embedded downlight

1. Pay attention to check the product. Before installing the downlight, the product must be thoroughly checked to avoid affecting its use. In general, the product can be returned or replaced in case of quality problems caused by nonhuman factors.

2. Be careful to cut off the power supply. To avoid electric shock during installation, the power supply must be disconnected before installing the downlight. After the wiring is completed, the power supply can be turned on for inspection to ensure that the wiring is in good condition.

3. Pay attention to the installation position. As the downlight will generate a certain amount of heat on the surface of the lamp in the lighting process, the installation location should be determined at a certain distance from the wall to avoid being too close to the wall, and the heat emitted will make the wall yellow, reducing the indoor beauty. In addition, the installation location should avoid the heat source or the place where hot steam will be generated in the home, to avoid damage to the lamps caused by these hot gases and shorten the service life.

4. Confirm the installation quantity. Before opening and installation, the number of downlights required shall be confirmed in advance to avoid defects during installation. In addition, confirming the quantity also means determining the applicable power supply. If a high voltage power supply is used, it must be ensured that power on and power off cannot be too frequent.

5. Pay attention to the use of space. Downlights belong to indoor lamps, and generally cannot be used outdoors. If they need to be used outdoors due to special circumstances, they must be waterproof during installation. In addition, for the space with a suspended ceiling, it is better to confirm the load-bearing capacity of the suspended ceiling before installation. To ensure safety, the load-bearing capacity of the suspended ceiling with a downlight must be about 10 times greater than the weight of the product itself.

6. Pay attention to flatness. As downlights are mostly installed in an embedded way, there are certain requirements for the flatness of the installation position, which must be flat and free from fire hazards and vibration. During installation and use, avoid a collision or knocking of hard objects to avoid damage.
